The SALS Working Party on Ethics and Lawyer Fee Arrangements, has been meeting regularly throughout the year. It has been tracking developments in the field of conditional fee arrangements, with much in the way of legislation, regulation and discussion documents having been released by Government over recent months and Court Rules expected soon. The Working Party's report entitled "The Ethics of Conditional Fees" was published mid-January 2001 and was the subject of a successful seminar on January 31st 2001.
