UN-Habitat - Building drafting skills for improving the quality of urban legislation

Invitation to a five day learning event for UN-Habitat staff and partners on Building drafting skills for improving the quality of urban legislation (8 – 12 July, 2019) – London, UK.

The Urban Legislation Unit, Urban Legislation Land and Governance Branch in collaboration with the Sir William Dale Center for Legislative Drafting , Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London have great pleasure in sending out this call for expressions of interest and ‘save the dates’ for a learning event to be hosted in London, UK from 8 to 12 July, 2019.

This five-day learning event focuses on familiarizing participants with the difference between policy and legislation, helping them understand what good urban legislation is and to develop skills to identify problems in legislation. It also aims to introduce existing methods and tools for evidence based policy and law making and presenting basic drafting principles.
