Closing Bells - Two warning bells are rung each day to indicate that the Library will be closing soon. The first warning bell is rung 25 minutes before the building closes. The second warning bell is rung 15 minutes before the building closes. Members are requested to complete their work and pack up and leave the library after the second bell.

We will reduce the weekday hours until 8.00pm and not open on Sundays during the summer vacation from mid-June until September.

Our normal extended Library opening hours apply to the IALS Library only. Events rooms and other offices in the Institute close usually at 8.00pm, and are not open on Sundays.

Annual stock moving and Library refurbishment work Friday 13th - Monday 30th September 2013

The Library will close to readers at 5:00pm on Friday 13th September 2013 for essential annual stock moving and refurbishment work and will re-open at 9:00am on Monday 30th September 2013. The Document Supply Service for subscribers will continue to operate as normal during this period.
