November 2009 Dear Applicant, In addition to the extensive training implicit in the nature of graduate trainee posts, some libraries have or offer access to formal training programmes, sometimes with a specific subject orientation. These will be described in the detailed descriptions of the particular library. There will also be a programme of visits and training events, and further information can be found on the Graduate Trainees' Knowhere web pages (at http://ials.sas.ac.uk/knowhere/Home.html). In addition, the libraries have access to the training programme of the CPD25 Group, and appropriate events, including visits to a wide range of libraries in and around London and a seminar on applying to library schools, will be made available to trainees.
