Welcome to Knowhere: the website of Graduate Library Trainees in London. Because a librarian needs to know where and how to find information, we have centered our website around the theme of knowledge. We are at the beginning of our careers and would like to share our experiences of being library trainees for a year in the capital, which must be the library centre of the world!
The programme was originally set up by the University of London Research Library Services (‘ULRLS’) for its own trainees, but over the years, and particularly in 2008/2009, other trainees have joined the programme. Sharing experiences with trainees from a wider range of libraries has strengthened the programme. Under Knowho there are details of the trainees and their libraries.
Knowhat will tell you about the variety of opportunities London trainees have, professionally and socially. Knowhich describes the range of libraries we visit and what we gain from our visits.
