Information technology resources and other electronic facilities to assist with legal research have been installed in the Library. There are currently 45 networked computers freely available for use by Library readers. Most of the PCs use Windows XP operating system. All PCs have access to the IALS Library catalogue, IALS website and Electronic Law Library.

More networked computers are freely available in a specially designed training room on the 4th floor, accessed from the Library Concourse. These machines have access to BAILII, LexisLibrary, Westlaw UK, Heinonline, Justis, CD-ROM services, E-mail, Internet, wordprocessing programs and the Endnote software tool for bibliographies .

More networked computers are freely available in each of the reading rooms on the 3rd floor, 2nd floor and floor L2. These machines have access to BAILII, LexisLibrary, Westlaw UK, Heinonline, Justis, CD-ROM services, E-mail, Internet, wordprocessing programs.
Visitors are welcome to bring personal laptop computers to use in the Library at their own risk. Power and data sockets are located beside most tables and in the study carrels on 2nd and 3rd floors for suitably configured equipment. Ethernet cables may be borrowed from the Library Enquiry Desk, 4th floor. A Wireless Internet access service at also freely available at IALS. More about using wireless network at IALS.
