The Index is part of the Law Journal Library on the HeinOnline database. At the time of writing, it covers the period 1958 to Fall 2007.
When using the search facility, links are provided to any articles that are available in full elsewhere on HeinOnline. To find the full text of other articles, search the IALS Library catalogue (by periodical title, not by article title) to see if we have the periodical in printed form or on another database.
Onsite access through the IALS account is available in IALS, ULRLS and University of London law departments.
Remote access is available to IALS and SAS staff, fellows and students, University of London law staff and students (including LLM students) and academic members of Senate House Library, via a current IALS Library card, SAScard or ULRLS card. Remote access via Athens/Shibboleth is arranged by each University of London law department and EISA for their registered law staff and students.
Click on Search Index to Periodical Articles Related to Law database (not Search this Title). You can search the Index by article title, periodical title, author and/or broad subject area (from a pre-determined list of subject headings).
If you select Show only results carried within HeinOnline, you will only find articles from journals which are available in full elsewhere on HeinOnline. Note, however, that you will find far fewer articles when using this option.
More information about searching the Index can be found on the HeinOnline database.
To browse, click on the issues and volumes listed on the main Index to Periodical Articles Related to Law screen.
To print or save a list of search results, you will need to use your internet browser's printing or saving options (e.g. File - Print). It is a good idea to close the left-hand pane of the screen first, using the red cross.
