Your card will have been enabled to give offsite access to selected IALS and ULRLS electronic resources.
The electronic resources are available offsite through links in the appropriate library catalogue record for each title in the IALS Library catalogue at http://ials.sas.ac.uk/catalogue.htm
Key services are also listed in the IALS Electronic Law Library at http://ials.sas.ac.uk/library/eservice/elibrary.htm
You login to subscription resources with your current IALS Library card or SASCARD by entering your family name and barcode number.

If you already have a current IALS or SAS Library card and membership record then your library barcode number will be printed on your card. If you do not have a library record then enquire at the IALS Library Admissions Desk to discuss IALS Library membership and admission.
Once you have a library barcode number, you can login to your account on the library system by entering your family name and the barcode from your library card. You will now have access to your library membership record and will be able to view loans, renew books and use some of the electronic resources offsite through links in the Library catalogue records. Remember to log-out of your record when you have finished.
Inside the Library, current members can access electronic resources from any Library Reader PC.
Your Library card will give you login access to selected electronic resources from home or elsewhere outside the Library where you have Internet access.
You login to subscription resources by entering your name and barcode number from your current IALS Library card or SASCARD. The Web Access Management facility (WAM) on our library system will then check your library membership record and take you through to the service if you are eligible for offsite access. Eligibility varies for different titles and services depending on particular licence arrangements and the basis of your membership with IALS. The WAM link in the catalogue record will indicate the range of eligibility for that title or service.
For example: if you click on the Kluwer Law Online link in the catalogue record for Common Market law review, you will be taken through to the web service if you are inside the Library or taken to a ULRLS login screen if you are outside the library, where you will be prompted to login with your name and barcode from your current IALS Library card or SASCARD. If you are an "IALS academic library member" and enter your family name and the barcode you should then be taken through to the service.
Remote access to electronic resources (from outside the Library) is made available on the basis of your type of IALS institutional membership in compliance with each service supplier's licence. Please see the table below to check which resources you are entitled to access remotely and note the link information in specific individual title records on the Library catalogue. Contact us at IALS Library if you need more assistance with offsite access or experience problems accessing our electronic resources.
