International Investment Claims is a module of the online service Oxford Reports on International Law (ORIL), produced by Oxford University Press. It includes awards and decisions from international arbitral bodies and national courts.
ORIL is available onsite and offsite to academic members of the Library. For more information about remote access to databases, click here.
To access the International Investment Claims (IIC) module from the ORIL homepage, click on 'Browse All', select the module from the options on the left (under 'Narrow your Choices'), then click on 'Update'.
International Investment Claims aims to cover all available awards and decisions in international investment arbitration cases, together with national courts' enforcement or review decisions. It includes cases from ICSID, the ICC International Court of Arbitration and many other arbitral bodies.
Once you have selected the IIC module on the 'Browse All' screen (see above), use the 'Search within results' option on the left to restrict your search to ICGJ.
The Search and Advanced Search options at the top of the screen do not allow users to specify a module, but the Advanced Search facility may be used to search the whole of ORIL by jurisdiction, subject and other criteria.
From the 'Browse All' screen, having selected the IIC module, users can browse by jurisdiction, subject, state party and/or date.
Help files and FAQs are available via a link at the top of the screen. The information provided applies to the entire ORIL database, not just to the investment claims module.
