The Sir William Dale Centre for Legislative Studies at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (School of Advanced Study, University of London) announces the establishment of The Graduate Series of Lectures in Legislative Drafting. The Series offers a forum to postgraduate students and professional drafters allowing them to present the core argument, or even side arguments, of their work, as a means of testing the validity of their hypothesis, the methodology chosen by the researcher, the structure of their analysis, and the universality of their conclusions. The Series aims to provoke a dialogue amongst the many members of the IALS drafting community and beyond, as a means of inciting cross-fertilisation and promoting research facilitation. It is hoped that the Series will enrich the research and research facilitation ethos of the drafting community at the regional, national, and international levels.
Lectures are offered free of charge. Those interested in offering a lecture may contact in the first instance Dr. Helen Xanthaki at helen.xanthaki@sas.ac.uk.
