The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) is delighted to announce the launch of Series 2 of Amicus Curiae, the journal of the Society of Advanced Legal Studies. Amicus Curiae is a peer-reviewed journal that aims to promote scholarship and research that involves academics, the legal profession and those involved in the administration of law.
Amicus Curiae is now freely available online as an electronic publication under the guidance of the new Editor, Professor Michael Palmer of the School of Oriental and African Studies. The lead article in Issue 1 is by Justice Mary V. Newbury, Inns of Court Visiting Fellow at IALS in 2018: ‘Foreign Act of State — A Practical Guide from Buttes Gas to Belhaj’.
