IALS Library completes 2016 Road Show series

Each year the librarians at IALS visit several law schools across the country to speak to postgraduate researchers, academics and librarians during our series of Library Road Shows. The purpose of the visits is to remind legal researchers of the many services and online research tools that we provide in order to assist them with their research. The sessions are also a great opportunity to highlight the breadth of our collections – after all we are the national library for legal research and therefore we hold many unique items as well as superseded materials that other university libraries may throw away. The Road Shows allow us to promote new electronic resources – such as Law PORT – and demonstrate well established databases including Eagle-i,FLAG and the FLARE Index to Treaties, all of which are freely accessible on the IALS website.

We have just completed the Road Shows programme for the current academic year, during which we spoke to around 120 PhD students, academics and law librarians at the University of Brighton, Bangor University, Aberystwyth University, Kingston University, the University of Wolverhampton and Middlesex University. If you would like to host a Road Show in 2016/17 please email lisa.davies@sas.ac.uk.
