Dr Constantin Stefanou is the new Director of the Sir William Dale Centre for Legislative Studies. Dr Stefanou has been at the Centre since May 2000 and has been the Director of the LLM in Advanced Legislative Studies for the last 4-years. Dr Stefanou –currently IALS Director of Taught Programmes– has been involved in all aspects of the Centre’s activities for the last 15 years so the transition will be seamless. Professor Helen Xanthaki, the previous Director, will continue her association with the Centre and will continue to teach in the existing programmes as well as our new Erasmus Mundus LLM – a joint programme with Luiss Guido Carli University (Italy) and Complutense University (Spain). The Centre will soon have additional staff and, of course, the core activities continue unchanged. We look forward to applications for our 2016 Professional Course in Legislative Drafting and our existing LLM in Advanced Legislative Studies and LLM in Advanced Legislative Studies via distance learning.
“It is a great honour for me to become the second Director of the Sir William Dale Centre for Legislative Studies. The Centre has been the main centre for academic activity in the field of legislative drafting worldwide for the last 15 years. I intend to make the Centre stronger and add to its existing core and peripheral activities. My aim is to strengthen our academic and professional programmes and to continue our cooperation with Legislative Drafting units worldwide.”
