Room / Venue hire at IALS
The Institute was established in the University of London in 1946 to provide for advanced research in legal studies. It has built up one of Britain's major libraries for legal research, which is the main workplace for a large number of British and foreign scholars and for the thousand or more postgraduate law students of the University of London, and which is also an important resource for legal practitioners. The Institute also plays a significant role in the fields of legal research and academic coordination and the development of academic-professional links by means of a programme of research projects, workshops, inter-disciplinary study groups and postgraduate seminars and lectures. It also undertakes specialised legal training activities as part of a regular programme, and on a commissioned basis.
Subject to its own needs, the Institute makes its conference meeting and catering facilities available to outside bodies. The Institute's modern purpose-built accommodation is ideally situated for convenient access to the City and West End and is just minutes away from British Rail stations at Euston and King's Cross, and with a direct link to Heathrow Airport via Russell Square underground station.
The Institute's facilities are ideally suited for a wide range of functions including conferences, lectures, seminars, meetings, exhibitions and social events.
For further details on catering requirements, please contact Ali Raeiskarimi.
Each room is equipped with a PC/projector for PowerPoint and internet access for presentations. Guest WiFi is available via UoL Conferences.
The hirer is recommended to ensure that his/her organisation has adequate insurance to indemnify itself and its officers against claims arising from third party and employer's liabilities. The hirer is responsible for insuring property brought into the Institute.
