Book launch - Mergers, Acquisitions and International Financial Regulation: Analysing Special Purpose Acquisition Companies
Description
By the end of 2020, more than 240 Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) were listed in the US (on NASDAQ or NYSE) raising a record $83 billion. The momentum carried over into 2021, with over $100 billion raised via more than 400 SPACs mainly on Wall Street, where SPACs make up two-thirds of all IPOs. This book tackles those questions and more. It is the first book to analyse the use of SPACs from a theoretical and practical perspective, and will be relevant to academics as well as policymakers, international financial regulators, corporate finance lawyers and the financial industry more widely.
