Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property

The Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property was founded in Bern in 1888. It is the Federal Agency for intellectual property matters but has its own legal personality and is independent of the Swiss Federal budget. Its primary role is as a first point of contact for customers who need industrial property rights. The site provides background information about patents, trademarks, designs and copyright, with links to further details. Forms for completion and submission are available to download in Word and PDF formats.

ICL - South Africa Index

Part of the International Constitutional Law project managed by the University of Bern, Switzerland. Provides a quick reference list of dates relating to development and changes to the South African Constitution. Includes the draft constitution of 1994, the 1996 Constitution and the amended version of 1997 together with accompanying schedules. Provides a brief background to the Constitution with a list of significant historical dates relating to it.

NATLEX: Bangladesh

Maintained by the ILO’s International Labour Standards Department, NATLEX is a database of national labour, social security and related human rights legislation. It holds over 100 records of law relating to Bangladesh. Where possible links to full text descriptions of the law are given, either written originally in English or as unofficial English translations

ICL - Tunisia Index

Part of the International Constitutional Law project managed by the University of Bern, Switzerland. It provides a quick-reference list of dates relating to development and changes to the Tunisian Constitution. The Constitution is available in English as amended to 1991.

It holds just over 50 records of law relating to Afghanistan. Where possible links to full text descriptions of the law are given, sometimes as unofficial English translations.

ICL - Spain Index

Part of the International Constitutional Law project managed by the University of Bern, Switzerland. Provides an English translation of the 1978 Spanish Constitution, including the August 1992 amendment to Article 13(2). It also provides a quick reference list of dates relating to key dates between 1975 (death of General Franco) and 2000 and links to a small selection of Spanish Government web sites.

International Olympic Committee

Official website of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) which since 1894 has been the international non-governmental organisation carrying final authority for the Olympic Movement. The site provides information about the composition, organisation, governance and financing of the IOC and includes a list of members who represent the IOC in their respective countries. Legislative functions are conducted by the Executive Board, which enacts regulations implementing the Olympic Charter, assisted by functional commissions responsible for areas such as ethics and sport and law.

Olympic Charter

The Olympic Charter is the founding document of the Olympic Movement, setting out the legal status of the International Olympic Committee and the required and exclusive role of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in dealing with mediation in any disputes arising in relation with the Olympic Games.
