NATLEX database

NATLEX is a database of information about national labour, social security and related human rights laws in over 190 countries and more than 160 territories. It is maintained by the International Labour Organization's International Labour Standards Department. The records which make up the database are written by legal professionals; they consist of abstracts and bibliographic details, with links to the full text of the laws where possible. NATLEX can be browsed by country or by subject and has a sophisticated search facility.

UNBISnet - UN Bibliographic Information System

UNBISnet is a bibliographic database maintained by the UN Dag Hammarskjold Library. It contains the catalogue of all UN documents and publications indexed by the Library and the Library of the UN office at Geneva. These include resolutions, treaties and documents from the General Assembly, Security Council and Economic and Social Council and may be searched by author, title, UN number or subject.

United Nations Compensation Commission

Official Internet site for the United Nations Compensation Commission, a subsiduary organ of the United Nations Security Council. UNCC was established in 1991 to process compensation claims for losses and damages resulting directly from the unlawful invasion and occupation of Kuwait by Iraq. Information is provided on the organisational structure and operation of the Commission. Press releases, details of publications and the claims processing and payment procedures are also available on the site. Reports and recommendations of the Panels of Commissioners are provided in PDF.

International Labour Organization Administrative Tribunal Judgements

Website of Triblex a databse providing access to judgements of the International Labour Organization Administrative Tribunal. The ILO Administrative Tribunal considers complaints from officials of the International Labour Office or one of the other international organizations that recognise its jurisdiction. The case law database, Triblex, carries selected judgments of the Tribunal in both official languages (English and French). Its purpose is to guide users to salient points in the Tribunal's reasoning.

World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center

Internet site for the World Intellectual Property Organization's Arbitration and Mediation Center. The Center was established in Geneva, Switzerland in 1994 to offer dispute resolution advisory services, particularly in international commercial disputes between private parties. The site publishes information about the Center, its work in arbitration and mediation and its staff. There are sections offering information on arbitration, mediation, expert determination and domain name dispute resolution. The sections include general information, decisions, fees and rules.

Schweizerisches Bundesgericht

The main purpose of this website is to give access to the full-text of reports of the Swiss Federal Supreme Court. The Court's main functions are deciding on constitutional law matters in Switzerland, and hearing appeals in federal law matters. The period covered is 1954- to date (with reports back to 1875 linked to on another site) and the reports are available and searchable in French, German and Italian. The interface / presentation are available in these languages also.

Recueil systématique du droit fédéral (Confoederatio Helvetica)

Official compilation of the laws of the Confederation of Switzerland, available in French, German and Italian versions. This collection of texts of Swiss federal law is available free of charge. Texts are available mainly in PDF format, with some HTML. The main listing is alphabetically by title. There are also lists of internal law (constitutional, penal, private, educational and social, defence, transport, health, economy), a list of international agreements, and a list of selected public law texts. The site includes a search engine.

WIPO administered treaties

Section of the official World Intellectual Property Organisation website, publishing treaties and conventions administered by the Organisation, including the convention establishing WIPO, WIPO copyright treaty, Paris Convention, Berne Convention, Rome Convention, Madrid Agreement and Locarno Agreement. The collection is organised into three groups including intellectual property protection treaties, global protection system treaties and classification treaties which create the classification systems that organise information relating to inventions, trademarks and industrial designs etc.

Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights

The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights seeks to promote universal enjoyment of all human rights by responding to violations and promoting the implementation of international instruments. Its website provides the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in over 300 different languages, together with human rights treaties, fact sheets, decisions and working documents of the various UN human rights bodies (such as the Committee Against Torture and the Council on Human Rights). Printed and multi-media materials relating to the Universal Declaration are also available.
