Online guide to the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) written by Francisco A. Avalos who is Foreign and International Law Librarian and Associate Professor for Legal Research at the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. The guide was published in 2021 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides an introduction and background information on the USMCA which supersedes the 1994 North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

WTO iLibrary

This website is the online research depository of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) providing access to WTO reports and key research material on global trade. The library can be searched by theme such as dispute settlement, environment and intellectual property etc., by country or by material type eg. books, papers, statistics or dispute settlement reports. All content can be searched by keyword or by using an advanced search option. Publications are made freely available to read online but a subscription is required to download material.

Society of International Economic Law

The Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) is a global association for academics working in the field of international economic law, as well as for practitioners and officials with an interest in the academic side of the subject. Its website describes the aims and activities of the Society. It has details of the Society’s conferences, with links to the conference papers on SSRN. There is also a News page, and Resources page which lists academic programmes on international economic law at various universities around the world.

International Commercial Contracts

Online guide to the major primary sources for international commercial contracts, written by Cyril Emery, who is Legal Officer and Librarian for the Secretariat of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law. The guide was published in 2016 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides an introduction to and definition of international commercial contracts.

Its website has a ‘Knowledge Bank’ consisting of articles, briefings, case commentary and newsletters covering business and finance, commercial disputes, shipping, international trade, energy and aviation.

Ministry of International Trade and Industry

The official website of the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry. Contains links to text of trade agreements involving Malaysia, particularly relating to ASEAN (the Association of South East Asian Nations). The text of certain pieces of trade-related legislation is available to view and announcements and media releases give information on new amendments regarding trade and industry. The site can be viewed in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

CISG Canada

A Canadian website about the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) (1980), which was implemented in 1992 in Canada. The site is hosted by Osgoode Hall Law School and is aimed at academic and practising lawyers. It is intended as guidance on the functioning of the CISG in Canadian exports and imports. It includes the Convention in English and French versions, some relevant Canadian legislation and case law, and some links to online commentary and a bibliography.
