This is the second of a series of three workshops aimed at academics in law schools at all career stages. We will explore a range of issues related to academic career development, including the various career development tracks (teaching, research, scholarship, enterprise); promotion processes and the challenges for the discipline of law; managing expectations in relation to career progression; role modelling; management succession planning; career development and wellbeing; the law school as a business; models of law school leadership. In this workshop, we feature current and former heads of UK law schools on topics including their career development, succession planning, and leadership models. 

The confirmed speakers for this workshop are:

Professor Linda Mulcahy (Oxford Socio-Legal Centre)
Professor Andrew Francis (Manchester Metropolitan University)

It will be chaired by Professor Warren Barr, Head of the Law Department, Liverpool Law School, University of Liverpool
