The Library of Things contains a range of objects and equipment that can be used by all library members to enhance and adapt the study space whilst in the library. The items include:

  • Coloured reading overlays 

  • Coloured reading rulers and reading windows

  • Desk lamp with magnifying lens (3x)

  • Video magnifier

  • Hands-free magnifier (1.5x) with LED light

  • Noise-cancelling headphones (on ear, wired)

  • Charging cables (USB C, Micro USB, Lightning) and adapters

  • Large print, high-contrast keyboard (USB connection)

  • Vertical mouse (USB connection)

  • Optical trackball mouse (USB connection)

  • Document slope

  • Adjustable laptop stand

  • Wrist support

  • Foot rest

  • Blankets

The items are housed at the Enquiry Desk on the 2nd floor and are available when the Enquiry Desk is open (Mon-Fri 09:00-19:45, Sat 10:00-17:15). 

To use the items, please request them at the desk and they will be issued to you on your library card until the Enquiry Desk closes that day. 

Please note, all items are for use in the library only and should be returned to the desk when you have finished.
