Provenance: most of these files were probably put together by the IALS Secretaries K Howard Drake, J A Boxhall and H F Patterson to isolate information of historical interest relating to the Institute. The compilation files at IALS 1/10-12 were created by the Academic Assistant and passed to the Archives by the IALS Librarian.
Scope and contents: the files are compilations of events of interest in the history of the Institute, and include background papers to its establishment, opening ceremonies, policy statements and press cuttings.
