Accessing IALS Library E-resources Remotely

Following the most recent advice from the Government, the decision has been made to close the Institute of Advanced Studies Library from 5:00pm on Thursday 19 March 2020 until further notice. Any books currently on loan will not be due back until the library reopens and will therefore not accrue fines.

Academic members of IALS Library continue to have full access to our e-resources remotely (e.g. legal databases, eBook packages and e-journal packages). Please see our Electronic Law Library webpage for the complete alphabetical list and details on how to access: https://ials.sas.ac.uk/library/legal-databases-and-digital-resources/electronic-law-library

Academic members of IALS Library have remote access to thousands of law eBooks and law e-journals as we subscribe to a number of huge e-packages. For example we subscribe to Cambridge Core Online: law, Oxford scholarship Online, Oxford Scholarly Authorities on international law and Brill online etc.

Specific book titles and journal titles can be most easily identified and accessed remotely by searching for the book author / title on our Library Catalogue: https://catalogue.libraries.london.ac.uk/search~S6 and clicking through to the specific eBook or e-journal.

Any queries, please email our Reference Desk team: ials@sas.ac.uk. We will continue to update our IALS website with any news or developments.
