Library Research Carrels
IALS Library has a number of research carrels available for rent during the academic year to postgraduate researchers.
The carrels are located on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors in the Library.

Where in the Library?
Research carrels are located on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the IALS Library. All carrels are within the library floor space with additional carrels on each floor reserved for visiting fellows.
Who Can Use Them?
Library carrels may be used by PhD researchers, university staff or visiting fellows who are registered to use the library. A number of carrels are available for daily hire on a first-come-first-served basis for PhD students.
Booking a Carrel
To book a carrel, download and fill in a carrel booking form, and come along to the Library Admissions Desk on the 2nd floor. There is a small fee to book carrels and a deposit payable for keys.
