The entire series of All England Law Reports is available on the Lexis Library database.
Lexis Library is available onsite to all academic members of IALS Library. Remote access is only available to academic members who are based at IALS; staff and students of other colleges and institutes may have remote access through their college or institute library.
The All England Law Reports (All ER) is a general series of law reports running from 1936 to the present day. It includes judgments from the House of Lords/Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and all divisions of the High Court. The online content is updated weekly.
Searching and browsing
All ER can be accessed directly from the Lexis Library home page, under "My Bookshelf". Choose "Browse" to display a list of volumes, then drill down to the case you require. Alternatively, choose "Search" to search the series by key word, case name, citation, date, court and/or other criteria.
When searching or browsing, help is available via "Help" links on the right, towards the top. The search screen also offers "Search tips".
Printing, emailing and downloading
You can print, e-mail or download your results, using the icons on the top right of the results screen. The print/email/download dialog box allows you to choose full-text documents, a list of citations, or a list of citations with extracts from the documents.
