Content

IALS subscribes to the Cambridge core e-books on legal subjects. This includes over 2600 books.

Browsing

From the home screen it is possible to choose the ‘browse by subject’ option from beneath the search box. This then gives the possibility to browse by law sub-categories for books, new titles, book collections, or to browse by journal title. Note that this may include titles IALS does not subscribe to. To ensure that you are only viewing the material included in the IALS subscription, look for the ‘Only show content I have access to’ box in the upper left side of the screen, once you have selected a subject area.

Searching

There is a basic search option available from the home screen. Once a search has been run, this can be refined using content type (articles, books, chapters, journals), publication date, subject, publisher, series or collection. The list can be sorted by relevance, title or publication date. To ensure that you are only viewing the material included in the IALS subscription, check that the ‘Only show content I have access to’ box is ticked on the upper left side of the screen, under ‘refine results’.

Printing, downloading and emailing

Each book is available in sections/chapters. Open the content as a PDF in order to get the print options. The PDF can also be downloaded
