Searching and browsing

Halsbury's Laws is listed on the right-hand side of the Lexis Library home page, with links to searching and browsing facilities.

Click on "Search" to bring up a search screen.  You can search by key words and phrases using the "Search terms" box.  The "Headings" box allows you to search all headings, down to paragraph level.  For further search options, click on "Show options to search specific document sections".  To search a particular title (e.g. Wills) instead of the whole work, start by browsing - see below.

Click on "Browse" to display a list of all the titles that comprise Halsbury's Laws; you can then drill down through the sections and paragraphs.  Alternatively, you can select a particular title, then search that title only using the Quick Search box towards the top of the browse screen.

The Search and Browse screens each have a "Help" link towards the top right-hand corner. The Search screen also has a "Search tips" link.
