Oxford Academic Journals brings together electronic journals published by the Oxford University Press.
Oxford Academic Journals are available onsite and offsite to all academic members of IALS Library.
IALS subscribes to the law subject journals, which includes over 50 titles. All of the journals which are included in the IALS subscription will be indicated with a green open padlock symbol.
An advanced search feature is available from the far right of the menu. A search for words or phrases will search across all of the Oxford Academic Jouranls content and will not be restricted to the law subject area. Consequently, users may see some aritlces in the searchh results that are not part of the IALS subscription. Various filters are available to refine the search, including article type, journal title, publication type and availability.
When entering Oxford Academic Jourals IALS users will be presented with a list of all of the law journals arranged alphabetically by title. By selecting the title of a journal, users will be shown more information about the journal and from this screen it is possible to browse issues by clicking on ‘issues’ on the left of the menu. This will display drop-down boxes where users can select the decade, year, volume and issue number of the journal they wish to view. Alternatively, click on ‘Browse by volume’ to select from a list of volume numbers.
Printing, saving and emailing
The option to open the article as a pdf appears beneath the title and publication information on each article. From the pdf it is possible to download and save or print.
